Subsonic at Riverwood Downs Mountain Valley Resort

For many of us, the term ‘bush doof’ sounds an emergency stop after some drive through Maccas. But for a few, the term has a magic nostalgia to it that captures the dance scene of the late 90s. If you find yourself in the latter category, you’ll probably want to grab yourself some tickets to Subsonic, a weekend dance party taking place from Friday December 5 until Sunday December 7.

Once a common event bringing together all manner of dancers, ravers, festival goers and general good time have-ers, bush doofs were a mythical blend of music and nature that took place in remote, often undisclosed, locations. The guys at Subsonic obviously miss these good times as much as we do because they are bringing them back. Yay!

Taking place over three nights at the Riverwood Downs Mountain Valley Resort, Subsonic is well and truly bringing the doof back to the bush. Helping them make this happen are international DJs James Holden and Addison Groove, Ellen Alien and Roi Perez along with a heap of other awesome talents, both local and from abroad.

If this wasn’t enough, the campsites are also BYO (although there will be licensed venues available onsite). So don’t forget to pack warm, pack light, pack your favourite and pack it in.
