A bit about the fireworks:

One billion people can’t be wrong: the Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks are the best in the world. That’s how many people are watching across the globe as our city shines with an amazing pyrotechnics spectacular at the start of every year. There’s also 1.6 million people watching the two fireworks displays around the Sydney Harbour Foreshore, 2.3 million across Australia watching from home and more than one billion tuning in worldwide.

Each year a new Creative Ambassador joins our Sydney New Year’s Eve team to add their unique flavour and design to the event. This year, we’re excited to have the creative input of one of Australia’s most original and imaginative cultural exports – who also happens to be a Sydney resident. Artist and musician Reg Mombassa has injected his unique quirky and irreverent style into this year’s event and will help make the city Shine even brighter. Join us and be a part of the world’s most exciting New Year’s Eve celebrations.
