We just saw some of the best news we have had all year! No, we didn’t win free ice-cream for the rest of our lives. This is better than that.

The Standard Store in Surry Hills has just gotten their latest shipment of Humanoid bags in from the Netherlands and we are determined to have our hands on them before the month’s end.

The Dutch label has already made a name for itself as one of the pre-eminent ready to wear brands in Europe. Since its launch back in 1981, it has maintained a steady release of clothing that is thoughtfully designed and perfectly constructed. “Every Humanoid collection originates from a gut sense of freedom and the feel of the materials. The way they drape, move, how it behaves while treated and how it caresses the skin”.

The Beau and Bons bags that have landed in the Standard Store this season are, we feel, some of the best that the brand has released so far. Simply designed using butter-soft vintage leathers, the bags start as a diamond shape but then open up into a much larger version of itself. Just like Mary Poppins, just more stylish.
