St Vincent Blesses the Sydney Opera House

Pop chanteuse and musical fairy, St Vincent, is going to be performing at The Sydney Opera House on Sunday, May 25 and we are getting literal chills at the thought.

Proving yet again that Vivid LIVE is becoming one of the best interactive visual and audio festivals in the world, the team behind the event have confirmed an absolutely stellar line up and St Vincent is an example of their focus on bringing quality performance to our sunny winter shores.

Fresh after the release of her fourth studio album in February, the self-titled St Vincent, the Tulsa, Oklahoma native has been reaping in the accolades. Compared by many to the likes of David Bowie, Kate Bush and her namesake Nick Cave, St Vincent is a gentle and mysterious reminder that music need not be all about the bright lights and a barely there outfit.

This latest album is surprisingly personal, given the whimsical natures of Actor and Love This Giant but this gives it an additional emotional strength that sets it apart from St Vincent’s previous recordings. Which is also surprisingly fresh, considering the infamously private nature of the artist.

St Vincent will perform at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday, May 25 as part of the Vivid LIVE festival.
