In case you missed it, it’s ARIA week in Sydney which means that we are basically swamped in some seriously good music. One of which will the awesomely good Glass Towers who are performing at the Oxford Art Factory this Thursday, November 28.
Originally hailing from the laid back beaches of Byron Bay before relocating and basing themselves in Sydney, Glass Towers have been gradually building their profile on the Australian indie music scene since the wee hours of 2008. The band consists of frontman Ben Hannam, who started the group, guitarist Sam Speck, bassist Cameron Holdstock and drummer Daniel Muszynski.
Aside from being a collection of clearly gifted musicians, one of our favourite things about listening to Ben and the gang is that their music is a diary – they are literally sonic recordings of specific moments in Ben Hannam’s life.
Their debut album which was released back in July this year was instantly awarded Triple J’s Album of the Week and is undoubtedly going to be the recipient of a slew of other gongs and trophies by the time the lads are done.
To get your tickets to see Glass Towers at the Oxford Art Factory, head here.
