Soft Things

Oct 9, 2012  ·  2 min read

By Benjamen Judd

So it may be coming into summer and the weather is getting a little warmer. So you tend to throw all those layers that you accumulated on the bed during winter onto the floor. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t invest in some of the softest woolliest new things for the home. You’re investing in next year’s winter!

Little Dandelion is the creative business of one Jacqueline Fink. Jacqueline, a former lawyer, is based on the lovely northern side of Sydney and it’s here that she weaves her softly spun magic for the home, like a delicate and elegant spider. Throw rugs, cushions, blankets and duvet covers – each one is hand-made with a perfectionist’s eye for detail. One thing that Jacqueline prides herself on is that nothing she makes is mass manufactured. It’s all done by her own nimble fingers and done so with love.

Jacqueline crafts all of her beautiful knitted blankets and throws using Australian and New Zealand merino and corriedale wools and sublime linen fabrics. Wherever possible, she also sources her materials from Australian farmers and suppliers.

At this stage, Jacqueline is yet to be stocked in retailers so to order some of her products you need to contact her directly. Which is great because she is super lovely and it’s always nice to make a new friend!

To contact Jacqueline, you can email her at [email protected]. Or, you can also check out her works in progress and other projects at her blog here.
