Ann Abel, Contributor for acclaimed US title Forbes.com, has heralded QT Sydney ‘The sassiest hotel in the Southern Hemisphere’. This nod from a a publisher which is arguably one of the world’s foremost trend predictors in the financial and property markets shines a bright light on the future of Sydney’s freshest stay space.
The effervescent review detailing the ins and outs of Ables stay begins with the gorgeously vivid description of her initial entry to the hotel ‘ When I stepped into the elevator at the QT Sydney and pressed my floor, James Brown came over the speakers: “Yeeeaaahh! I feel good.” And I did.’, then winds through the offering with shout outs to the design and attention to detail on display in both public spaces and rooms ‘The insouciant branding is thorough and fabulous. Everything you encounter in a hotel room fits the theme,’ touches on the properties reputation as a foodie haven as she delights in dining in Gowings Bar and Grill ‘The expansive dining room is one of Sydney’s power dining spots, so it’s busy all day,’ and then praises the modern alchemy of spaQ which is nestled on the mezzanine level of the hotel ‘where the theme is spot-on’.
It has been an opening year full of outstanding accolades for the new designer hotel including a feature in Broadsheet Magazine online , ‘There are elements of the original Gowings building where the hotel now rests, but it calls to mind the styles of Alice in Wonderland, parlour rooms, boudoirs and the art deco movement.’
Travelling tome Conde Nast Traveller featured the property on its coveted ‘Best new hotels in the world hot list – 2013′, clipping the review with a resounding ‘Flash point In a city lacking hotels with even a pulse of personality, the QT has quickly established itself as the most fun place to stay.’
With the dawn of 2014 beginning to creep up on Sydney, QT Sydney is looking forward to a new year full of pushing the boundaries in travel options and looks forward to welcoming little brother QT Canberra onto the scene in March. He is sure to be the Bond of the brands property portfolio.
