We’re not very good dancers, we’ll admit it. In fact, some of us tend to have the moves of a lobotomized ibis but it will take bigger hurdles than social humiliation to prevent us from going to see Art VS Science at the Oxford Art Factory on Friday, April 11.
Since forming in Sydney over five years ago, the dance trio have gained an international reputation for being one of the best live electronic acts to come out of Australia in years. A regular feature on Triple J, their sound has been so well received that they’ve scored gigs supporting the likes of The Chemical Brothers during their 2011 Australian tour. Thankfully, success hasn’t gone to their heads and they’re still keen to share the love at our favourite venues.
With a brand new single, Create/Destroy out in the charts now, the show will be a banging night of dancing to brand new mixes and some old favourites. The new EP of the same name is also already a big favourite here in the QT offices and, not to be bold, but you should probably get your hands on it if you haven’t already (we have no doubt you have though…well, you better have).
Tickets to see Art vs Science are on sale now.
