Peachy Keen Greenery

Jul 5, 2012  ·  1 min read

Have you heard of Peaches and Keen? If not, you’re now in luck because we believe in spreading the word on great design and fun things in the hopes that all that good karma will come back to us in the shape of presents.

Peaches and Keen is the name for design duo, Lily Daley and Lucy Hearn. Daley – a graphic designer, and Hearn – a gold and silver smith, met whilst studying in Melbourne back in 2003. It wasn’t until 2011, however, that they were able to fully realize their colourful potential when they held an exhibition in a disused shopfront .

Whilst their portfolio of work ranges includes some amazing jewellery and artwork, it is their hanging planters that have become their signature piece. Plastic beads so bright you could get a tan if you stood too close woven into beautiful yet simple patterns, the planters express the pair’s love for both greenery and craft. They’re a great way to brighten up a room and can be either hung from the ceiling or as a traditional vase (did someone say ‘I want one for my desk’? Oh, that was us…)

You can buy Peaches and Keen online here.
