Local markets are some of the best things about living in a city like Sydney. They bring people together, keep the streets lively and we can guarantee you that we will find something to bring back and get pride of place on our mantelpiece at home. Or our desk.
This coming Saturday, June 9th, the Now and Then markets will be taking place at St George Rowing Club in Tempe. Since launching in December, the Now and Then Markets have been providing the inner west a great community boost and an opportunity to swap and trade personal treasures.
There is a great mix of vintage, second-hand, retro along with stalls for local designers selling their own work. There will be plenty to keep kids occupied too with a bouncy castle (as if we won’t be on there ourselves, kids only be damned) and a face painter & balloon twister (again, who said this was just for kids?). The other bonus is that since the markets are all held indoors in the comfort of the Captain’s Room, with glorious views over the river, this means that while other markets are being washed away in the winter rains, the Now and Then Markets will be high and dry.
The Now and Then Markets will be held June 9th, at St George Rowing Club on Levey Street, Tempe.
