Model season

You may have noticed that there has been an influx of rather peculiar looking creatures in Sydney recently. Tall, lean, long of limb and of hair and possessing an overall rather starved look.

Models. Yes, the models have arrived in time for casting season for the inaugural Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. For the first time since the event started, Carriageworks at Eveleigh Sydney will host the fashion fiesta. Running from April 8^th to the 12^th, the four days will be jam packed with the best, the worst, the most fascinating and the most fearsome fashion that Australia has to offer. On show will be the pending trends for the coming 2013/14 Spring Summer, so whilst the rest of us are rugged up against an ever cooling autumn, spare a thought for those underfed lovelies who have to parade up and down a runway in bikinis and micro-skirts.

This season will also welcome leading fashion trade fair, ‘Premiere’, which will give industry guests first access to additional designer, footwear and accessory brands.

Some of the designers that will be on show this year include fashion week veterans, Romance Was Born, Camilla and Marc, and Maticevski. Also showing are some of our new-found favourites such as Christopher Esber, Serpent and the Swan, and Staple the Label.
