The Meanwhile Store, hidden away in the leafy suburb of Elizabeth Bay, has been saving the wardrobe of Sydney men for just over a year now and shows no signs of slowing down. It has not only hit its stride as a leader in the fashion retail industry, but is also taking men’s clothing forward into an era of tasteful eclecticism. What this all means is that there is simply no more excuse for dressing exactly like all your mates!Owners, Dion Kovac and Tim Leckie have banded together a fantastic mix of both local and international designers, including the likes of Vanishing Elephant, Rittenhouse and Our Legacy. Just recently, Kovac made a small fashion coup by bringing in the Belgian label, Dries van Noten. Dries, part of the infamous Antwerp Six, exemplifies that slick European minimalism that is so sought after in other men’s labels but often miss the mark. Expect to see the latest collection hit the store floor over the coming month!
The store itself is a beautiful destination, split level concrete floors and muted lighting. Utterly conducive to spending a well-earned dollar and, considering the caliber of the stock, we were not the slightest bit upset about doing so.
The Meanwhile Store is located at Shop 3/31-33 Elizabeth Bay Road, Elizabeth Bay.
