Summer in Sydney is a stinking hot venture if you ask us. But it does have its high moments, such as being able to go to the beach; midnight swims at Redleaf up in Vaucluse; eating watermelon all day every day; and going to the Moonlight Cinema at the Belvedere Amphitheatre in Paddington’s Centennial Park.
Screening a mix of new release, cult and classic films the Malteser Moonlight Cinema is a perfect way to spend a balmy summer night under the stars while bats cavort overhead.
Running from Wednesday to Sunday each week, this year’s program includes the Hunger Games: Catching Fire; Saving Mister Banks; Dirty Dancing; and The Book Thief, the film based on Australian author Markus Zusak’s best selling novel of the same name.
Food and alcohol are available on site although you are able to bring your own supper should you wish not to waste last night’s left over spaghetti.
Tickets to the films are limited so it is best to buy up sooner rather than later.
For more information, and to get your tickets online, head to the Maltesers Moonlight Cinema website here.
