So the best thing to come out of New Zealand since Sisters Underground and the darling of the post hipster music scene, Lorde, has announced a national tour of Australia that includes two Sydney shows at the Hordern Pavilion starting Friday, May 2.

In case you missed it, Lorde not only had one but two hit singles as part of the Triple J’s Top 100 for 2013, one of which was totally robbed of the number one position by some dude on a ukulele (jokes, we still love you Vance Joy). But honestly, Royals should have taken out that position…

Anyway, hot on the heels of winning a shit-ton of Grammys, headlining both Coachella and Lollapalooza and even being on a Hunger Games soundtrack (who knew??), Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor is coming back to the South Pacific where it all began and giving us a chance to worship at her neo-goth animatronic dance-style feet. Best.

Tickets for this are going to sell out faster than a Liberal premier so make sure you get in quicker than utilities CEO with a bottle of wine from a not so good year. Just don’t forget about the tickets on the night. Too soon? Oh well.

Lorde will be performing at the Hordern Pavilion on Friday and Saturday, 2-3 May.

It seems our favourite lady, Lorde, has taken a case of the ills and postponed her shows. We, however, have no doubt our favourite Kiwi minstrel will be back in fighting shape soon enough. We’ll keep you informed and up to date as we know more. #getwellsoonlorde
