Like Chet Faker? Flum? Four Tet? Zhu? Then you’re going be going nutso when you realise that they are all playing the same event on Saturday, September 27 at the Centennial Parklands for Listen Out.
Billed as the premier ‘boutique national dance music event’ Listen Out is the antidote to all those large-scale festivals that you gave up on years ago for selling out. Drawing on a philosophy of best and not biggest, the Listen Out festival takes pride in providing a carefully curated audio experience that gives you the chance to hear some of the most talented sound producers and musical artists available today and not simply grabbing whoever happens to be in the headlines.
Set in the rather tranquil setting of the Centennial Parklands, this is the kind of major event that we can really get behind – limited ticketing means that no overcrowded bullfights for dance floors; small, intimate settings means you aren’t racing across a perilous pitfall of obstacles to get to the 12th stage to see your next line-up; and probably most important is the genuine diversity of music on offer, meaning there is something for everyone.
Tickets for this sort of event sell out quicker than ice-cream on a discount day at Messina Gelato so you can thank us later for letting you know about it before they do.
Listen Out will take place at the Centennial Parklands on Saturday, September 27.
