Men’s clothing has taken quite a colourful turn this summer with a whole load of florals and bright prints making their way into the store. The trend has trickled down from Prada’s release of the jive-printed golfing shirt and blouson for Spring 2012. Since then, a whole array of local designers and other brands have started to release varieties of Hawaiian prints just in time for beach season! Here are some of our favourites.

The Orphn Summer Nights shirt, available at Alfie’s Friend Rolf. Slim fit cotton, this one bucks the trend slightly by using blacks and instead of your standard tropical flower, uses a November Lily.

Vanishing Elephant Denim Floral Shirt at Incu. It’s no secret we love Vanishing Elephant. The boys behind the brand continually make great clothes that fit and last. The denim floral shirt is another great example of good workmanship.

The Three Over One Anchor Shirt at Meanwhile Store. Three Over One have remained a stable in the wardrobes of the guys at QT for good reason. They’re super soft and completely hard wearing. Because we live life on the edge here in the QT offices, with our wild cheese tasting nights and watercolour classes.

Reyn Spooner Vintage – the one and only original. These are a bargain on e-Bay with amazing prints. There might be a bit of a hunt for the right size so make sure you take a tape measure to your shoulders to get the fit right.
