If there is one thing we love more than getting presents it’s telling people what presents to get us. So here it is.
Sydney-based jewellery designer, Toby Jones, has launched his latest collection of avant garde accessories to adorn your neck and fingers with. And, to put it simply, we want all of the things.
A fascinating break away form his previous and more industrial ranges, this new collection – called Knew Metal – is an electric mix of bright gold and oxidized silver. Their delicate appearance is an ambiguous deception once you spot the razor sharp lines and edging. Much like ourselves, really.
Personally, our favourite pieces from the collection is the Shock series – a selection of asymmetrical patterns with which you can mix and match between the two metals.
With a precise minimalist approach to construction, Knew Metal, plays off bold graphic symbolism and pseudo-religious iconography to tell a fast, loud story of a dark metal past.
Toby Jones’ 2014 range, Knew Metal, is available now at The Stables located at 352 Bourke Street, Surry Hills.
