So, there is new Sydney-based online store that has gotten us all a little excited here at QT. Actually, excited is the understatement of the decade. Gotten us into a tizzy is a much better description for what we are feeling!

Having only launched in early June this year, the Mid Century Modern Studio is an online store that is like a mix of eBay, granddads shed and a vintage store in a town you don’t know the name of. Without specialising in anything other than cool, the store stocks everything from vintage ceramics (we want the owl jug), office gardening, vintage calculators and refurbished mid-century (of course) furniture. There is also a selection of hand-made textiles such as cushions and yarn balls.

Clearly made with the nostalgic in mind, the Mid Century Studio is a gift haven. Gone are the days of rushing around the back streets of Sydney (although this is still lots of fun when we’re in the mood for it) looking for that quirky present that screams ‘us’. It’s all here at your fingertips and ready to dispatch at the click of a button. Aaah, modern living is lovely.
