Thank goodness for public holidays because if history is anything to go by, we will be little more than a blubbering mess post Oscar Key Sung’s performance at Goodgod Small Club on Thursday, April 24.
Celebrating the launch of his debut EP, Holograms, the soul-master wunderkid has announced a national tour. At 23 years of age, Melbourne-based singer / songwriter / producer Oscar Key Sung has quickly garnered a reputation as one of the most prodigious new talents in Australia’s vibrant indie music landscape.
Since exploding out of the scene-defining Two Bright Lakes community as one half of Oscar + Martin in 2010, Oscar has received international acclaim for his refreshingly spacious productions, buoyant performances, and a sumptuous voice that harkens back to a classic lineage of heart-on-sleeve r ‘n’ b frontmen.
Not that we have favourites when it comes to club venues, but if we were Danceteria at Goodgod may well be up there on the list. Combine that with the talents of OKS, backed by the inimitable Banoffee and Champaine Lyf DJ’s, damned if we intend to be capable of stringing a sentence together come Friday morning.
Oscar Key Sung will be performing at Goodgod Small Club on Thursday, April 24.
