‘Follow your heart, trust your judgement, do it with joy’. This is the motto behind Australian furniture and design label, Koskela. And this ethos really does shine though their when you take in the details and workmanship of their designs.

Koskela came together through the combined efforts of Russell Koskela and Sasha Titchkosky. It’s so refreshing to see beautiful furniture that is designed to be lived on and not just looked at.

The company prides itself on minimal environmental impact with their designs, using recycled timbers wherever possible and even using older pieces of furniture to reconstruct new ones. And there is always a story behind the design of a piece. Like the Quadrant soft – a sofa designed extra low and long to make smaller spaces feel much bigger. Russell got the idea for this from the body of his dachshund Rudi, the epitome of long and low design.
