Potts Point in Sydney’s east is a bit of a leafy secret keeper. It has been one of the most coveted addresses to reside in, has some of the most highly rated restaurants and bars in our fair city (aside from our very own) and plays a not so large part in providing Sydney with its colourful night life.
Now, it is also turning into one of Sydney’s cult retail destinations, with a number of boutique stores opening up around the area in the past few years.
One of those, Arkist, sits on the edge of Potts Point and grittier Kings Cross. This says a lot about the vibe of the store in general – a cross between high-end and street, a fusion of European simplicity and a bit more down to earth Australian.
They stock some of our favourite brands that we have previously mentioned – PAM (yay!), Illesteva sunglasses, Elke and Happy Socks to name a few. They also carry a few of our favourite neighbouring brands from the Land of the Long White Cloud, like Antipodium. There is a skirt we spotted by this lovely little Kiwi brand the other week that has taken place as number one must have item for summer – the Catitude skirt. It has cats on it. We like it a lot.
Arkist is located at Shop 3, 127 Macleay Street Potts Point. Or you can like their Facebook page for updates and information.
