It’s been a while since we have really gotten excited over some decent Brit Pop but Manchester lads, Everything Everything, have been really catching our auditory attention.
Known for their extremely eclectic and dynamic performance style, with complex song construction and dense, detailed lyrics sung in falsetto by lead singer Jonathan Higgs. While technically known as an alternative rock band with outright pop stylings, the final sound is a wonderfully hybrid mix that uses production and rhythmic approaches closer to those of contemporary R&B, glitch pop and electronica with some progressive and psychedelic rock thrown in for good measure.
This coming Saturday, July 27, they will be bringing that sound to the Metro Theatre up on George Street. The tour celebrates the release of their first studio album, Arc, that was released in January this year. Arc went straight to number five on the British charts and was received with both commercial and critical praise.
Tickets for the event will be available on the night but we recommend buying ahead of schedule because you ain’t wantin’ to be missin’ out and look like a fool innit.
You can get your tickets to everything at the Metro here. The Metro Theatre is located at 624 George Street.
