Who as a child didn’t want to runaway and the join the circus? A life spent on the road, dressing up as a clown, learning trapeze and flying through the air as a living or even working with lions and other exotic animals (before we realised that this was in fact not a very nice life for a lion) – what’s not to love?
This year we are reliving our desire to become a carny by going heading to Slide nightclub on Oxford Street and taking in the sensual aerial delights of El’ Circo – part cabaret, part burlesque, part trapeze and part titillating tease.
El’ Circo comes with a cast of the most talented aerial performers, the most enthralling statuesque dancers, the strongest pole performers in the business and voices seen in the country’s largest theatre productions. We are a little daunted at all the talent sharing the one stage, truth be told. But we’re pretty sure we will cope.
Doors for El’ Circo open promptly at 7pm.
“Be ready to be greeted by a foreign accent, as your Host or Hostess for the evening will likely be from France, or Switzerland or some other fabulous corner of the world.
Welcome to the little piece of Europe on Oxford Street which is Slide.”
For more information, and to book your tickets to El’ Circo, head here.
