EGGY WOOLLENS

We had eggs the other day for breakfast and we’re just going to say it – they are ugly. Don’t get it wrong, they were delicious (organic, poached, with some chives) but the realisation that they a) came from an animal’s bum; b) are failed baby chickens; and c) THEY CAME FROM ITS BUM really hit home.

So we looked around for something to make them a little more appealing before we ate them. And we found something amazing.

Donkey Product egg warmers are a range of knitted little hats and helmets that you put on top of your egg before you eat it. These are the perfect camouflage for the rather viscous background of a perfectly yummy treat. You can get a miniature monster, a bandit in a balaclava, an alien looking thing, and even a hipster. For the more twisted amongst you, you can even get a baby chicken (not judging…yes we are).

The Donkey Products brand itself is based in Hamburg, Germany, and has a reputation for being rather irreverent with their designs. The company started out life as a family business in novelty gift products, but designer and owner Florian Berger.
