Remember when we were all insane in the brain? And we all wore baggy denim with basketball singlets? Get prepared to relive it because the masters of hip hop, Cypress Hill, are coming to Sydney where they will rise up a the Enmore Theatre on Monday, December 8.
With over 18 million albums sold worldwide, Cypress Hill, have continually pushed musical boundaries since their inception in the early 90’s. The release of their self-titled debut album in 1991 sold over 2 million copies and established them as one of rap’s most potent groups.
Over the past few years, the lads have been collaborating with some of the biggest names in music. On June 5, 2012, Cypress Hill and Dubstep artist Rusko released a collaborative EP entitled Cypress X Rusko. Also in 2012, Cypress Hill collaborated withDeadmau5 on his sixth studio album Album Title Goes Here, lending vocals on “Failbait”.
This tour also marks the return to the group’s original line-up, with the original South Gate trio of B-Real, Sen Dog and producer, DJ Muggs reunited to work on a new album that is slated for a spring 2015 release. This is the first time in ten years that the original trio is back together in the studio and their sound is even more psychedelic and booming than ever.
Cypress Hill will perform at the Enmore Theatre on Monday, December 8.
