One of the finest cultural events that celebrates traditional landowners of Australia is about to take place across various landmarks in Sydney this November. Starting on the 20th and wrapping up on the 30th, Corroboree Sydney is a celebration of Australia’s rich cultural heritage, featuring leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, writers, dancers and musicians showcasing their creativity and sharing their stories in over 100 events.
Presented at significant sites around the world-famous Sydney Harbour – Corroboree Sydney offers a unique experience of Indigenous culture. The event is initiated and delivered by Indigenous people to share with the wider community. This collaborative endeavour, involving Sydney’s premier arts and cultural organisations is an internationally distinctive festival that celebrates our culture in all its diversity.
The event will include talks from shell-artist Esme Timbery, Australian of the Year Adam Goodes; live music at Klub Koori from an array of Indigenous musicians and performers; as well as a selection of some of the best work in contemporary Indigenous film.
An opportunity to learn about, share in and discover one of the oldest cultures on the planet, Corroboree Sydney is a one-of-a-kind event that brings together people from all over Australia.
Corroboree Sydney will run from November 20 until November 30.
