Sydney-based tunesmith and good-time bard, Josh Pyke, has announced his second tour for the year because his first tour sold out like it was crack. Celebrating the release of his latest album, Beginning And the End of Everything.
Through his regular releases and constant tours, Josh Pyke has become one of Australia’s most beloved crooners since appearing on the indie scene back in 2005. Beginning And The End Of Everything is sure to further solidify this sentiment with Pyke describing the release as his most personal to date. Pyke uses the disc as a platform to carry his songs of hard earned lessons, desire, death and legacy.
Since the album hit shelves back in July, Pyke has been on high rotation both in the QT offices and Triple J and all good live streams. His single, Leeward Slide, is one that has particular resonance with us as it deals with ideas of finding and losing oneself…and what could be more lost and found than travelling!
Josh will be performing this coming Friday, 23 August, at the Enmore Theatre. This could not be a better venue to showcase Pyke’s sound (and there is a really great Turkish restaurant nearby that we can totally recommend too).
