ASOS summer trends

So winters been and gone and we are well into spring and summer season. With the change in seasons there should also be a change in your wardrobes. There are some serious trends to explore this summer so make sure you’re ahead of the game and get shopping. If it’s an edgy look you are craving then ASOS has a huge selection of trends online but a favourite this season is studs. Edgy brands like Hearts & Bows, Badlands and Motel Donna are just some brands who have taken the trend to the shops this season.

If you are not sure about the studded style you can always make it more low key and team it up with bright colours and bold prints or even go old school and crack out some monochrome. Planning a shopping trip with the girls? Go for a pair of studded jean shorts, plain t-shirt, studded boots and some low key accessories. A night out or a few drinks with friends? Try some chunky, studded wedge heels, a sheer shirt and some skinny jeans. Add a simple studded clutch for more rock chic look and you are good to go.

This trend has a big impact but doesn’t have to put a strain on your purse strings. Local markets and fabric shops will have studs and stones by the bucket load. They are cheap and easy to add to existing tops and jean materials. If you have a denim jacket for example adding a few studs to the collar or shoulders can help update it. Everyone loves a little DIY fashion and it means you have a unique piece in your wardrobe your friends will be envious of.

Studs are set to be huge this summer and can bring an edgy addition to your outfit. Don’t go all out and add studs to your whole ensemble, sometimes subtle flashes of grunge and punk are perfect. Think less Kurt Cobain and more Pixie Geldof – marry the two styles together and your summer is set to rock.
