We have mentioned only last week that there has been some seriously good shit to come from the UK recently. And while we will probably never really truly recover from Geri leaving the Spice Girls like she did or anyone convincing Liberty X that they actually had any talent whatsoever we can still forgive and forget all of that because of bands like Palma Violet.
Hailing from Lambeth, Palma Violet formed back in 2011, touring local pubs and getting a cult following for the rather psychedelic rock sounds that they were playing with. Much of their fanbase was actually gathered online (how very modern) as fans and band members started uploading recordings of live gigs. Which, in its way, is a sure fire guarantee that these lads are going to sound just as good in person as they do coming out of our speakers when they play the Oxford Art Factory this coming Tuesday, 30 July.
That’s right – the boys have confirmed an Australian tour to promote the release of their first album, 180. Released in February this year, their first studio album is just as raw as their live performances and has been on some serious rotation in the QT offices and hotel (you’ve probably heard them already just by having an amaretto sour at the bar!).
Tickets to see the boys are available here.
Oxford Art Factory is located at Basement 38-46 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst.
