British chanteuse, Birdy, aka Jasmine van den Bogaerde, is coming to Sydney to perform at the Sydney Opera House this April and this group of ducklings intend to be right up the front. And so you should you if you know what’s good for you.
For anyone else who has already had the grace of seeing Ms Bogaerde live they will know that for one so particularly young she is an incredibly accomplished performer. Birdy is one of those singers that has you literally enthralled with every note that she sings. Often, much better than the original performers of the songs that she covers.
Her self-titled album went straight to number one in ARIA chart and has now reached double platinum sales, powered by her now four-times platinum single of Bon Iver’s ‘Skinny Love’.
Earlier this month, Birdy recorded an exclusive Australian cover of John Butler Trio’s 2004 single ‘What You Want’. The track, recorded especially for her Aussie audience, goes to radio this week ahead of a deluxe edition release of the debut album, available from early December this year.
Birdy will be performing on Friday, April 12, at the Sydney Opera House, and is an all ages event. Get in quick and buy your tickets here.
