spaQOur Spa Manager Michelle Troon talks about why massage in a facial is the part she looks forward to most.
The facial massage is my absolute favourite part of a facial. Like a great coffee kick-starts your morning-mind, the mid-facial massage kick starts your skin.
Your face, like the rest of your body, has many muscles which tighten and hold on to stress like shoulder and back muscles do. A highly-skilled therapist is able to relax muscles and connective tissue with the magical touch of her hands. In the face this results in softened expression-induced lines as well as a de-puffing and brightening for the eye area, lips and brows. It will also assist to eliminate acne-causing toxins.
Facial massage improves circulation by stimulating the skin and the resultant muscle relaxation can assist to slow the onset of wrinkles. Increased circulation, oxygenates the blood encouraging the presence of fresh, healing red blood cells.
During your facial spaQ therapists recommend appropriate skin care for home use to help you continue the benefits of your facial and correct ongoing skin care issues.
A transforming experience, receiving a facial is an absolutely enjoyable spa treatment. You will feel relaxed, pampered and your skin will look and feel simply amazing.
You will certainly reap the benefits of a facial during the change of seasons. At a minimum, I’d recommend you receive a facial treatment four times per year at the change of each season.
Skin cell turnover is generally every 7-10 days so regular fortnightly facials are the key to clear, smooth and radiant skin throughout the year.
We recommend our Uspa concept facial or a Kerstin Florian Correcting Facial to achieve this. Book today!
