That’s right, Newy Rides isn’t a race, competition, or world championship, it’s a bike tour! Visitors to locals who love their city, can experience the best Newcastle has to offer all in a few hours’ cycle.  

The team at Newy Rides are letting us in on locals’ only knowledge. It’ll have you pedalling to the city’s hottest coffee shops, murals, hidden makers – all the nooks and crannies that make Newcastlefornia the best regional city in Australia. Biased? Perhaps. Fact? Yes.

The Morning Essentials 
Rise and shine, this tour is for the early birds. Those who relish in a sunrise whilst savouring in that first sip of coffee. A cycle time of 2.5 hours, this is one for the flat-liner rider. Riding from the harbour, to the shore. Stop and stare at the street art that lines Newcastle city walls. If these walls could talk… there’s no telling what they would say. There’s a reason this tour is about the essentials – it’s a need, not a want.  

Newcastle Essentials
Love the great outdoors almost as much as you love a tipple or two? Well this tour is just for you! Experience all the same character and charm of the city as The Morning Essentials, however this tour we’re stopping for a drink break and hydrating G&T style. This tour sips for itself really… 

Fernleigh Explorer
So you call yourself a local? You’ve seen the city sights, but love to cycle. The Newy Rides team have you covered. The Fernleigh Explorer takes riders from the city streets to the suburban trail. Pedal to the medal, you’ve got 15km to go.
