We’re fussy about our partners, choosing only those who are in sync with our shared values. Here’s a taste of what we’ve done so far to tread lighter:

• Less is More: Toothbrushes and combs? Available only on guest request.
• Mini to Maxi: We’ve swapped single-use small format bathroom products with refillable Tom Dixon pump dispensers.
• Stationery Slim Down: Biodegradable pens and paper are in while we work towards a paper-free future.
• Locally Sourced and Loved: Our dining venues showcase fresh, local ingredients wherever possible from suppliers who share our sustainable vision. From the locally sourced vegetables grown in the Lockyer Valley, a fertile region dubbed Brisbane’s salad bowl, to mushrooms from Stapleton, Lavender from Kingaroy and locally caught seafood from out the front.

Our qtQT Cabins puts a spotlight on stylish local goods from the very best in South-East Queensland. Here is our list of curated items found inside:

From thoughtful design to clever tech touch points, you’ll find sustainability across QT:

• Cool Moves: Room sensors turn off the air-conditioning if the balcony doors are open, saving energy like pros.
• Shining Bright, Efficiently: LED lights are in, brightening up QT with low energy vibes.
• Water Smarts: We’re saving water with low-flow taps, dual-flush loos, and eco-friendly laundry equipment. And with our NABERS Energy and Water rating, we’re tracking every watt and drop used, making sure we’re on the path to a better tomorrow.

Rubbish is never glamorous, but recycling can be. We’re reducing waste, reusing what we can, and recycling the rest:

• Digital Style: Our check-in process is now paperless, and our executive team has gone digital with their business cards.
• Sips with No Plastic Trips: QT’s Frank Green bottles and filtered water stations are here for guest hydration and our takeaway coffee cups and lids are made from plant based compostable material.
• Eco-Delivery: Room service boxes are reusable, and wine is served in carafes to cut back on bottles.

We’ve even got a Containers for Change recycling program to make sure bottles, cans, and other recyclables find a new life.

At QT Gold Coast, our team believes that we all have a responsibility to protect the planet and its natural resources for future generations, and we strive to make a positive impact in our local environment and community.

We’re committed to supporting our local legends.  

QT Gold Coast partners with local causes and initiatives:  

• Action Impact: We get involved in events like Jeans for Genes, Movember, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Cancer Council’s Morning Tea to raise money for worthy causes.
• STRETCH Workplace Giving Program: Empowers our team members to donate to community partners. Our extensive list of Stretch Partners currently includes The Children’s Hospital Foundation, Assistance Dogs Australia, Lifeline, WWF Australia and Disabled Winterport Australia. 
• Supporting Young Futures: we proudly support youth education and employment by partnering with registered training organisations in QLD who offer nationally accredited training programs.
• Eco-Sourcing from Our Backyard: From local luxe products in the cabins to local brews in our outlets and in our mini bars, (such as Burleigh Brewing, Husk Distillery and Drift Vodka).
• Conservation Support: QT donates the monies raised from Container for Change recycling to the World Wildlife Fund.
