The weekend is close and thoughts turn to the many events around Canberra to keep your weekend active and full of excitement. Here are our recommendations:

Friday, 11 November

Remembrance Day at the Australian War Memorial
An important day of remembrance, this year 11 November marks the 98th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War.

The ceremony starts at 10:30am at the AWM.

Night at the Museum: Origins is on at the National Museum of Australia.
The National Museum of Australia is again opening up the museum after hours to take you through the Origins of the human race.

Saturday 12 November

Canberra Beer Week

A week-long celebration of the liquid gold that is beer. Take a tasting paddle of the local brews or settle in with a couple of out-of-towners.
