When I think of a triathlon, I think about pain. The pain is replaced with trepidation about ever entering such a competition. The standard course consists of a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and then you get to finish it off with an easy 10km run. Sounds like a wonderfully horrible way to spend a Saturday, doesn’t it? As gruelling as a triathlon goes, the feeling of passing that finish line must be something that only comes about from pushing the human body to whole new level.
Thankfully, the calming folk over at Wanderlust, the global community of yogi’s who throw festivals dedicated to getting bendy, are about to hit Canberra with their own triathlon, Wanderlust 108.

As you would expect, the Wanderlust crew have slightly tweaked the course to better connect the body, mind and soul. Starting with a comfortable 5km course that you can walk, run or skip through at your own pace. Once you pass the finish line, make your way to your mat for 75 minutes of DJ infused flow, lead by Wanderlust’s top instructors. Then to round out the third activity, settle in for 30 wonderful minutes of deep soul meditation to finish off your mid-morning triathlon.
Once you’ve come out of your post run/yoga/meditation daze, make your way over to the Kombucha Garden for some deliciously nourishing treats that will fuel your soul.
The day will be stacked with plenty of activities for the whole family, with AcroYoga and a beginner’s class in Hooping. Tickets are a must and I urge you to pick those up as soon as possible, so you can begin your training with a calm mind. Grab tickets HERE
Wanderlust 108 is on in Canberra on November 19, 8am – 4pm.
