We here at QT Life enjoy all seven days of the week. Each one of them brings something unique to the weekly mix.
Though like children, we all have a favourite and it’s a close one. Between Friday and Sunday. Both have their pros, yet come with their deep cons… Though for the sake of this here piece of writing, Sunday wins hands down and we won’t hear a bad word about it.
There is something so damn relaxing about a Sunday morning, it just oozes a chilled vibe, depending on how you spent the night before.
Regardless, the day is best spent doing all those things that nourish the human body before taking on the work week that looms within the next 24 hours.
If you find yourself in the nation’s capital and the day of the week happens to be a Sunday, here’s a little guide on how to best spend it:
Sleep in.
Don’t be a fool, the sunrise might be worth it but it’s likely 2 degrees outside, so just dream of a sunrise with brighter colours. Though don’t waste the day. More importantly, don’t miss brunch. Wake mid-morning with a nice brew before making your first move from bed to a table full of breakfast/lunch delightsEat
Canberra may be home to the political heart of the nation, but it’s also stacked with many mouth-watering breakfast menus. From Capitol Bar and Grill at QT Canberra, contributing a buffet spread that’s hard to beat, to the progressive team at the Coffee Lab, with a top-notch menu – Canberra has got a breakfast scene to be messed with.See
It being Sunday, the walk up to the summit of Mt Ainslie will be packed with the active type, so if that’s your jam, get into it. Though if you’re more into a gentle waltz around the capital, a walk through Commonwealth Park will provide you with a nice little outlook of the well-planned city.Drink
It’s Sunday, you need to round the day, week and if you’re lucky the entire month off with a little tipple. Not just any tipple though, you’ll want to pull up a stool at one of two places… or both. Molly’s and Highball express, about a three-minute walk between each other. Both venues have what you’re looking for on a Sunday afternoon in the almost midst of winter. The bar staff will help you out and match your chilled Sunday vibe with a concoction of what you need.Or… You could just lay in bed all day, order room service and binge watch House of Cards (new season hits Netflix late May), it’s all up to you.
