If it’s time for your regular dose of culture then you could no better than heading over to the Belconnen Arts Centre to catch their latest exhibition, Shapes In Space, opening on November 21 until December 7.
A Community Culture Inclusion initiative, Shapes In Space will launch in conjunction with International Disability Day, an event including performances by people living with disability as well as interactive activities for all who attend.
The Shapes in Space exhibition is created by participants in Artspace, a collaborative program under the leadership of tutor Nicola Lambert, for visual artists who identify as having a disability. The works created investigate colour, shape and pattern and explore how these visual elements can convey emotions and evoke responses.
This is a fantastic opportunity to share in the stories and experiences of people in the community who live with disabilities. It’s also a great chance to experience some truly unique art.
Shapes in Space will be held at the Belconnen Arts Centre from November 21 until December 7.
