Melanie Horsnell, the sweetest songwriter to come along in an age is literally coming along to Canberra to perform at The Street Theatre on Saturday, November 29.

To celebrate the launch of her latest album, the deliciously titled Dans La Mer Aussi Il Y A Des Étoiles (which translates as “in the sea also there are stars”), Melanie Horsnell has announced a national tour that is taking her wide and far throughout her beloved regional Australia.

Written during a six month residency in rural France in 2013, Dans La Mer Aussi Il Y A Des Étoiles, the album was inspired by the people and places that Melanie experienced during this idyllic time. The result is a dreamy, romantic, rather haunting collection of tracks and even some contemporary renditions of French classics that are as smooth as a 2009 Bordeaux.

This is a chance to see one of the most intriguing artists in Australia right now in a perfectly intimate setting. Tickets are limited and are available from the Street Theatre’s website.
