Lucky’s Speakeasy Announced As Official Host for The FASHFEST After Party!

FASHFEST is only weeks away and our very own Lucky’s Speakeasy has been named official after party host because that’s just how we roll.

The biggest fashion event held in Canberra, and the biggest business venture held in the fashion world in ACT, FASHFEST is a four-day non-stop fashion extravaganza running from May 13 to May 16.

The FASHFEST platform was originally launched as a way to shine a spotlight on the amazing work being done by local designers here in Canberra and neighbouring regions. Only in its third year, the event has exploded to include both interstate and international designers.

Some of Canberra’s brightest will be showing at this year’s collection, including visual artist Luke Chiswell, Karen Lee, Braddon Tailors and fantastically theatrical Corr Blimey.

This year will also see an amazing collaboration project between Canberra-based menswear label Perpetually Five’s Mitch Thompson and Clare’s Clare Read. Aptly dubbed “Perpetually Five + Clare”, this new collaboration will push boundaries with a spectacular collection named ‘The Haunted Mask’, which is inspired by children’s nightmares.

In an event first, FASHFEST 2015 will be held in a brand new location – Canberra’s iconic National Convention Centre, a Platinum event partner, which will accommodate the biggest show yet!

As part of the official FASHFEST happenings, Lucky’s Speakeasy will be hosting a unique after party each night of the festival. Taking our stylish cue from the FASHFEST runways, each night will have a unique theme. Prepare for props and frocks galore!
