A subversive, vulgar, violent, intoxicant-related kids show that’s not at all suitable for children? We’re there!
Australia’s favourite symbiotic comedy act, the Umbilical Brothers have a brand new show – KIDSHOW – and they’re bringing it to the Canberra Theatre Centre from May 4 until May 5.
Since their early days training as performers in Western Sydney, the Umbilical Brothers have become a cult hit both nationally and overseas. Known for the mix of vocal sound effect, mime and slapstick, they Umbi Bros. have become a regular fixture on the local comedy circuit, performing at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs, Sydney Opera House, and the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Their talents have also seen them perform on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
KIDSHOW is like The Wiggles on crack. Same energy, same enthusiasm and same complete disregard for self-respect. You’ll be forced to
“With the best intentions in the world, Dane (David) and Shavid (Shane) come onstage to perform a fun show for the kids with singing, dancing, audience participation, and storytelling. Unfortunately the audience is made up of nothing but adults – and if there’s one thing adults don’t want to see, it’s a kid’s show.”
Clearly NOT a night for the kids, so just leave them at home. No-one will know.*
The Umbilical Brothers will be performing KIDSHOW at the Canberra Theatre Centre on May 4 and May 5.
*please don’t leave your kids at home alone. That’s why god made grandparents. In fact, why not make an evening of it and treat yourself to a night in one of our amazing rooms with breakfast for two! After that much gut-aching laughter, you’ll need the rest.
