Know what we love most about spring spring? Aside from the fact that every day is basically one less required item of clothing as we nudge closer to summer? Spring is music season, and it seems that here in Canberra all the good stuff is happening through October and November such as the incredibly duo Holy Holy, who will be performing at Transit Bar on October 30.
The talent behind Holy Holy are Timothy Carroll from Brisbane and guitarist/composer Oscar Dawson (Ali Barter, Dukes of Windsor) from Melbourne, who met while teaching English in South East Asia. After some additional European travels, both eventually moved back to Australia and began working with drummer Ryan Strathie (Hungry Kids Of Hungary). The collaboration produced their debut single, ‘Impossible Like You’, and Holy Holy was born. The song was released to critical acclaim and high-rotation on national broadcaster triple j.
This tour has the guys bringing the joy to fans in most capital cities around the country, including us here in sweet little Canberra, celebrating their latest single “History”, the song that almost never came to be but thankfully for us (and thanks to the power of mobile phones through which the shared their individual parts – we know! Technology, huh?) they managed to lay it all down.
Holy Holy will be performing their latest music, including single ‘History”, at Transit Bar on Thursday, October 30.
