With those chilly Canberra days and nights well and truly upon us (the morning after Budget night was so damn cold!), it’s important to make sure that your Friday nights are still toasty with a couple of drinks out on the town.

There is constant change in Canberra as to where to grab a Friday night drink; so to help you out as to where you should head to this week, here’s a handy little guide, with your thirst in mind:

Honky Tonks
Like to start your Fridays with a bang… or a shot of tequila? Then Honky’s is your place. The team have a huge range of mescal to get you in the mood. Or maybe head straight to the Sangria, full of flavour and comes in either red or white. Gather the amigos, it’s time to taco about Friday.

Hopscotch
We’ve all been there for a summer afternoon, sitting in the garden, sinking back a sweet craft beer or a tasty little Sauvy B. Now that the chill has hit, the heaters are out and there is a vibe in the air that nothing has changed. It’s a Friday though, so get in early and grab the table of your choice.

Bar Rochford
A swanky little place with some fine tasting cocktails. The Rochford is where you go to enjoy a glass of red or a well-made Gin & Tonic. With a food menu to match, Bar Rochford is a good one to take the out of towners to. A warm reminder that Canberra’s nightlife ain’t dead, it’s thriving.
