My first experience of the Night Noodle Markets was last year and the evening holds a fond little nook in my memory.
Amid the illuminated backdrop of Enlighten, I wondered past the National Library of Australia, lit up stupendously as dusk turned into night.
As tantalising smells drifted past and a distinct buzz permeated from Reconciliation Place, I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.
Butterflies on stilts and an iridescent snail enchanted passers-by as I walked to the latern-adorned canopy that would be the gateway to the hotly- anticipated Night Noodle Markets.
Picnic blanket in tow, a vantage point was found (the perfect proximity to both food and bar, of course!) and the only things left to do was to choose what would be on the menu from the delicious array of hawker-style Asian food stalls available.
With Enlighten 2017 almost upon us, my mind once again is wandering to the market fare and so it seems, the line-up this year is even more extensive and tantalising.
New to the fold are crowd favourites Bao stop, Taiwan Noodle House, Hoy Pinoy, Poklol and Let’s Do Yum Cha.
For the sweet-tooths, Waffleland, Black Star Pastry x N2 Extreme Gelato and Gelato Messina will be putting the cherry on your Sunday (or any other day for that matter!)
You can get your fix every evening of Enlighten with extended hours on Friday and Saturday, meaning there’s plenty of time to go back for round two!
Head on over here for all the foodie updates.
