Every so often you come across a work of art that challenges all your perceptions of both your own world and the way you think you see the world. We think that the latest production to be showing at Street Theatre, White Rabbit Red Rabbit, will be one of these.

Showing for four nights only, May 28 and wrapping up on June 1, White Rabbit Red Rabbit challenges both traditional modes of theatrical performance the role of the audience in final result.

Imagine being 29 and forbidden to leave your country… Nassim Soleimanpour dissects the experience of a whole generation in a wild, utterly original play from Iran. Forbidden to travel, he turns his isolation to his own advantage with a play that requires no director, no set and a different actor for every performance.

White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is a work about contemporary Iran, and of Nassim’s generation: the generation born during the incredible hardship of the Iran-Iraq war now in their late 20s and early 30s. A generation that has never known an Iran other than the Islamic Republic, yet a generation that is computer literate, and well‐informed. The art they are making is worthy of notice.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit will show at The Street Theatre starting May 28, with the final show on Monday, June 1.
