Who doesn’t love the occasional thrash of rock and roll? We certainly do and we cannot wait to experience one of the true legends of Australian rock live at the National Convention Centre’s Royal Theatre on February 26 – Cold Chisel.
Since the mid 70s, Cold Chisel have been at one of the most successful rock bands in Australia, with Jimmy Barnes’ striking vocals and lyrics that captured the particular experiences of the Australian working class.
Despite their internal struggles (due mostly to old-school geo-politics between the Scottish Barnes and the Liverpudlian Prestwich) Cold Chisel built a reputation as one of Australia’s best live acts with their consistently dynamic performances.
Their first Australian show in three years, and their first visit to Canberra since 2011, fans can expect the same passion and energy (okay, maybe a tad more subdued, all things considered) from the old days.
This is a not to be missed opportunity to see a slice of Australian rock history live, so expect tickets to go quick.
Cold Chisel will perform at the National Convention Centre’s Royal Theatre on February 26.
