If you’re in the mood for drinkin’ wine and feelin’ fine, boy do we have the festival for you! Canberra Wine Week is at our doorstep once again, so it’s time to raise a glass and cheers to a week’s worth of celebrating the best wines Canberra has to offer.
The festival will take place across various locations in the capital, from the 7th-15th April. Events on offer include wine exhibitions, dinners, tastings, and open cellars from the up and comers to the nationally recognised.
Kicking off the festival is a Canberra District wine tasting event that will be hosted in our very own backyard of Acton, showcasing 14 of the best wineries from the ACT District. This will be followed by tastings from Plonk, Yazzbar, and Ostani Bar.
Wine and dine
If you’re a sucker for amazing food and wine combinations, you can sip your way through perfectly paired degustation delights with the Liquid Geography Dinner at Aubergine, Long Lunch at the Arboretum, Gundog Estate Grazing Dinner, or have a more relaxed pub vibe with Lunch at the Loft at Duxton.
Get amongst the vines
If you love getting your hands dirty, you can Blend Your Own Wine at Dog Trap Vineyard. This workshop is perfect for a bit of fun with friends. Did we mention you will walk away with a custom labelled dozen of a blend of your choice? Count us in…
The ultimate day out
For the ultimate day out, grab the car and head to an open cellar. You can work your way through Gundog Estate, Capital Wines, Fourwinds Vineyard, McKellar Ridge, Clonakilla, and Mount Majura to name a few.
