Venues & EventsTake a long hard look outside. What you see happening out there is a change in the season. Spring is already bloody here. Winter was that rather chilly part that came and went quickly. You may better remember it as that time that it was like Summer without the heat. Though as the season changes, it’s time to ask yourself a serious question?
Do you want to shred?
If the answer is yes, then you might owe a little thank you to the weather lords. As we sit here, the boffins over at the Bureau of Meteorology (via MountainWatch) are forecasting some sweet springtime dumps to keep the mountain covered in the white stuff. So it might be a good time to head out to the Thredbo for a little off-piste shredding?
So it might be a good time to head out to the Thredbo for a little off-piste shredding…
Even if you’re not that keen on shredding, you might find yourself in the need for a weekend road trip and with the crowd numbers sitting at comfortable numbers, now might be the time to hit the slopes for a little apres ski session in the bars.
This weekend alone, Thredbo will be taking in another 12cm’s of Spring time snow (the base is sitting at 160cms) which will then give way to some beautiful Blue Bird days for you to send it.
The Grasshopper, the Head Forecaster for MountainWatch seems happy about the idea of a handful of smaller dumps to continue into early September. While Guy, the Weather Guy out at Thredbo is getting ready to chill through the opening weekend of Spring with low temperatures of -7 degrees. Check out the full forecast below:
