Canberra and Region Heritage Festival

A little bit quirky, with a lot of vintage, and a truckload of retro – that’s just how QT likes it! The Canberra and Region Heritage Festival aims to raise awareness of the need to conserve the region’s natural, historic and Aboriginal heritage with over 100 events across the 16-day schedule.

From settlement-era themed picnics and bush dances, to guided tours of the political, cultural and historical landmarks of Canberra and our stunning region, Indigenous bushland and rock painting experiences, and contemporary arts screenings and performances; the 2014 Festival has adopted the theme of  ‘Journeys’, inspired by the first steam train arriving in Canberra in May 1914.
