Burlesque Idol at The Abbey

We’re as fond of a cheeky feather as the next red blooded adult so you can bet that we will be attending the Burlesque Idol 2015 tour when it returns to The Abbey this March 28.

After a sell-out series in 2014, Burlesque Idol is bigger, better, brassier and brasher than ever before.

Part acrobatics, part theatre, part dance and part awesome, burlesque has undergone a huge revival over the past years to become celebrated as an art in its own right.

Burlesque Idol was originally created as a platform for emerging artists at the fringe of traditional creative endeavour. The high energy performances are packed with talent, cheeky humour and even a dash of audience participation – so beware!

Performing exclusively at the Canberra show are Mauve D’Vine, Chocolate E. Claire and Sweet Belladonna.

The night’s show will feature both dinner and show-only options, as well as best dressed competition, raffle, vintage vendors, photo booth, and the chance to see the city’s fastest rising stars and some of Australia’s most renowned burlesque performers on stage.

Following a fantastic six-year stint in London’s West End, and a sell-out series of shows in New York City, Burlesque Idol will once again light up the Australian stage for one night only at the Abbey, March 28.
