Has anyone managed to influence the state of music today as much as Bob Dylan? One of the greatest modern poets and songwriters, Dylan has announced a national tour that will see him perform live here in Canberra at the Royal Theatre on Friday, August 29 for one show only.

Coinciding with the man’s 73rd birthday, Bob Dylan and his band will be coming back to Australia for the first time in over two decades. Performing songs from his entire catalogue, each show will be a diverse selection of sounds that span more than six decades of musical genius by a man with over 50 album releases under his name.

Timeless and undisputedly one of the greatest musicians to ever live, Dylan’s music is as relevant and poignant today as it was when he first began experimenting with folk music, dropping his birth name of Robert Allen Zimmerman (or Shabtai Zisl ben Avraham to go really old-school) in favour of his current moniker, chosen for it’s connection to a former great poet Dylan Thomas.

Old and new fans can anticipate a musical event of depth, grace and significance, delivered by one of the greats in this series of live performances. Tickets will sell out fast so we recommend getting in early.
